Finding Indian Hannah, 2023

Centered on the believed headstone of Hannah, this project uses augmented reality to generate a temporary portrait at the site. The image is trained from archival texts and appears only through a device - dissolves quickly. The work exists between marker and projection. It considers belief, absence, and the instability of historical record.
